And that is just
the singing and
songwriting;
the surprising
textures found
in the banjo,
mandolin and
cello are what
make Only Love
Remains stand tall in the company of
Christian artists like Nichole Nordeman,
Sara Groves and Joy Williams. It is
poignant devotional art that simply tells
stories to move your heart.
Heller says, “Everyone has different problems to face, but in the end, the
outcome hinges on how you deal with
those struggles—if you allow them to
destroy you or make you stronger.” On
this, her third album, Heller hinges redemption on the value that God places
in our lives (“All the Beauty”), our significance founded in the Father (“Only
You,” which is where we hear the first
gorgeous use of the banjo) and repentance (“Only Love Remains”). You may
not have heard of Heller yet, but don’t
let that stop you from experiencing this
haunting album that will stir your heart
toward the Lord.
WL TAKEAWAY: This one is for personal devotion as
well as downtime music that will seep into your soul.

THE JOURNEY
Tony Guerrero and
Shawn King
Royal Warrior
Productions
This may d isappoint a few, but this
project is not Tony Guerrero doing jazz
renditions of “Don’t Stop Believin’” or
“Any Way You Want It.” However, the
good news is that last December, Saddleback Church debuted their Christmas production, featuring the songs
and arrangement of Tony Guerrero,
called The Journey, and this year it’s available for you to bring into your church.
The story begins the same way as
The Princess Bride—a kid in bed being
read a story. From this simple intro,
you get the sense that while all of the
following vignettes (starting with the
Old Testament prophets and finishing with the birth) are enriching and
amusing in their own rights, there is a
powerful story being told that reaches
into the homes of the average person.
The Journey is available on a CD that
is nearly exhaustive in all the tools
that are bundled with it (script, trax,
production notes, costume research
and more) making it one of the most
usable Christmas resources we’ve
seen—equally double for churches
of 1,000 or 100. If you are looking to
do the “pageant” in a way that clearly
connects it to today, one with a strong
feel for outreach, The Journey is for you.
The music and story, which is at times
whimsical and other times deeply
touching, is original and makes this
Christmas musical theater one that will
enrich the season.

WHAT IS
WORSHIP?
Vineyard Music
The phrase
that is common
today “worship
is a lifestyle”
tends to be a
bit problematic
when used as a
worship defini-
tion. Indeed, the title of this DVD is quite
a big bite to take. So how should we teach
what worship is? How do we become
people aware of worship—beyond life-
style and into an intentional offering of
our daily walks? What Is Worship? is a good
place to start. Here top theologians and
worship leaders, including N.T. Wright,
Matt Redman, Brian Doerksen, John El-
dredge, Kathryn Scott, Don Williams and
