Editor’s Note:
A Little Loopy
made a little mistake in the
September issue of Worship
Leader. After receiving our
copy of the printed issue
we realized there was a
review of a certain tech product, but it
was called the wrong thing. And we even
gave you the wrong picture while directing you to the wrong website. Basically,
we messed this one up.
The product is actually called Loops in
Worship where there are downloadable audio loops for you to grab and resources to
help you learn how to create or use said loops
in your services of worship (they are actually in this issue as one of our Editor’s Picks).
Their website is loopsinworship.com.
Now, on a completely different topic,
we recently have come across a resource
called Worship Loops. That one is visual
in nature and looks to mostly contain video backgrounds for your worship services.
So here it is: we mixed loopsinworship.
com with worshiploops.com. Hopefully
you will offer a little understanding in
this case. Either way, we hope we didn’t
create too much confusion.
Important Truth
egarding Robb Redman’s article
“The Mediation of Christ in Wor-
ship” being front and center in
the recent issue, thank you, thank
you, thank you! I can’t tell you
how encouraged I am to see the contem-
porary worship conversation moving in
this direction. This is, IMHO, the most
important truth for worship leaders and
all Christians to understand if we are go-
ing to see a renewal of true worship in
the Church today.
Gratefully,

Below Middle C Response
ecordings tend to be tenor-driven
because the high voice is powerful
and energetic (and male, because
the high female voice is currently
out of fashion). From Sinatra to
We
Pavarotti to Steve Green to Chris Tomlin,
that’s how it is. So if it’s high, crank it
down—usually one-and-a-half-to-two steps
will do (three steps if your lead singer
is female). Unfortunately, some worship
leaders are under tremendous pressure
to do everything CD style, CD pitch. But
that’s OK—the lead singer is free to run
and dance and sing his high F#, and
we are free to rumble along an octave
down. The secret to being happy with
a song is not worrying too much about
how it sounds.
